Old Crow's Nest is a lakefront, bright home that provides a mix of modern & historic feeling with it's beautiful style.
The nice open layout offers a warm welcome. The living room has adequate space and has a large flat screen television for viewing. There is also a fireplace for those cozy nights in! The well-appointed kitchen makes it easy to cook meals for your family/guests, which can be enjoyed at the dining table, surrounded on one side by picture windows, making your dinner even more special.
This generous size home accommodates a total of 8 guests comfortably. There is one guest bedroom on the 1st floor with a queen size bed and bathroom with a step in shower. Upstairs there are three guest bedrooms, one with a full size bed, the other also has a full size bed, and the third has two twin beds. There is a bathroom for the guest bedrooms to share. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and it's own master bathroom, furnished with a sizable jetted bathtub. The master bedroom and one of the guest bedrooms have access to the outside balcony, where you can soak in the mesmeric views, whether it be the sunrise, sunset, or blissful blue skies.
Old Crow's Nest has a third floor, the crows nest, equipped with a "mini kitchen", a relaxing sitting area, and a table for 4 facing the Chesapeake Bay, perfect for playing a game of poker, playing a board game with the family, or just taking in the scenery while unwinding.
The town of Cape Charles is approximately 4-minutes away, where you can grab a bite to eat, take a stroll through the shops, or make a stop at the public beach, voted in 2019 as most beautiful beach in Coastal Living Magazine!

  The house and location were absolutely perfect. Easy to get to town for shopping & restaurants. The house itself was immaculate. We would highly recommend renting through Bay Creek, as everyone I spoke to was very helpful with all our traveling needs. Hoping we can make it back to beautiful Cape Charles sometime soon.

  We had family fly in from Arizona and Colorado who we haven’t seen since before COVID. We knew we wanted to show them the charm of Cape Charles and why we continue to visit after 15 years. The house was in great condition, the new furniture was great and the layout was perfect for our families. I loved that there were crafts and activities for the kids (and adults) to do at the life center. We did them all along with other Baycreek activities - golf, beach, fishing, nature trails, coach house meals, amazing sunsets. Overall our family vacation was amazing! We did have a little hiccup with a near by neighbor harassing most of what we did. However, we were very pleased with the way Baycreek handled the situation. We did not let her rain on our parade and continued to have a wonderful time making memories! Thank you!

  This rental was a lot of fun. We brought our bikes and had races arounf the village. We played cards on the third floor at the game table while cilling our drinks in the third floor fridge. We had breakfast and afternoon coffee in the three season room overlooking the lake and the Chesapeake Bay. Took walks along the beach and went shell hunting while watching the ships 8n the bat. Our boys played in the sand and made sand castles. There was a first floor bedroom and walk in shower. Nice large fridge. Good amenities and location. Great views from the back porches. Only drawback was the lack of adequate shades in the bedrooms, but this was a small issue. Really great stay! Can’t wait to go back!

  We had a marvelous vacation. We had a couple of surprises with the house. First, the wifi did not work so we were unable to access the internet. Secondly, there were no DVD players in the house so we were not able to watch the movies our grandkids had brought to watch. Finally, we did not have access to the garage so we were unable to store our bikes, kayaks anywhere but outside. The house was clean, fairly well equipped and comfortable. I was surprised that there was no tea kettle (I don't drink coffee) and we had a hard time locating a large pot to boil corn in. - We used the roasting pan instead. The lack of shades/curtains in the bedrooms meant that we had to put some towels in the windows in order to not have the sunlight wake the grandkids early and there was no privacy in the downstairs bedroom bc the curtains were only thin, cafe curtains. We also found that the upper floors got quite warm during the day and into the evening. Finally, I thought the pool closest to the house, and the one most appropriate for a 2 year old and a 7 year old, was included as part of the resort rental. We ended up paying for the pool several days since we wanted our grandchildren to access a pool that was more conducive to their safety and pleasure. All of that being said, the house was impeccably clean, nicely furnished, and the whole experience was positive.
